Fancy a challenge? Then join us for the Rivington Half Marathon 2020 and push your limits on the most breathtakingly beautiful half marathon there is!
The event is organised by Chorley FC Women and is our main fundraising event … thanks to the success of the race in 2019 we were able to fund training facilities, kit and transport . The ladies have had a number of successful years marshalling and the feedback from runners has always been excellent.
All proceeds go towards helping the club play in the FA Women's National League.
The route covers 13.1 miles of pathed, tarmacked and rough terrain, the scenic course works its way through the rural parts of Bolton and Chorley.

On the day... 03/10/2020
The course starts and finishes at Rivington & Blackrod High School with the route leading out towards the pike, back down to the top barn and in the direction of White Coppice before turning back towards the high school. The whole event is marshalled by Chorley FC Women and volunteers and covered for first aid by Bolton Mountain Rescue team.
On the starting field you’ll find the registration tents, stalls and storage tent for your belongings. Here you can re-fuel, thoroughly warm up, and leave any unnecessary items safely stored away. There are changing facilities and toilets available at the School.
Anyone over the age of 17 is welcome to take part, we have a range of prizes to give away for all categories. Better yet, this year we’ve got our very own photographer from Sport Sunday who’ll be taking action shots at different points across the course.
On the day entries are charged at £30.
